What We Believe
We believe that your baby’s life matters. No matter how short. We believe that your baby has dignity & honor and is worthy to be celebrated. (Psalm 139:13-16)
We believe that when a baby dies, that baby is in Heaven. (2 Samuel 12:22-23, Romans 1:19-20)
We believe that there is hope for those who grieve. (Romans 8:24-25, Hebrews 6:19, 1 Peter 1:3, Revelation 21:3-5, Matthew 11:28-30, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14, 2 Corinthians 4:7-18) We believe that ultimate & true hope is found in the person of Jesus. (John 1:14-18, John 14:1-7, John 3:16-18)
We believe that honesty is necessary for growth. (Job 3, John 8:32, Matthew 11:28-30)
We believe that hope and sorrow can coexist, that joy can be found amidst the mourning, and that beauty can come from ashes. (Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 30:5, Isaiah 43:1-2, Job 1:20-21)
We believe that each person’s journey through grief is unique. (Psalm 34:17-19, Jeremiah 8:18)
We believe that a grieving mother deserves support, encouragement, and hope following the death of her baby, no matter how long she knew about, carried, or held the baby. (Romans 12:13, 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, John 11:17-37)
We believe that even with the complexity of various experiences, beliefs, ideologies, convictions and opinions, this space can be a refuge for a wide range of grieving women supporting each other. (1 Corinthians 12:12-28)
We believe there is great tension in the reality that what triggers or is painful for one person might be healing for another but we also believe that we are made to be in relationship with each other and that coming together to support each other, despite our differences, is worth fighting for. (Romans 12:3-8, 12-18)
We believe that we are never truly alone. (Psalm 23, Revelation 21:3-5, 1 John 4:15-16, Psalm 139:7-13, Psalm 16:5-11, Romans 8:31-39, 2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
All of these beliefs are rooted in the fact that we believe that the Bible is the true Word of God and in it we find the words of eternal life. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 19:7-10, Heb. 4:12, John 17:17)
