LIBBY MARLER
LPC-Intern at The Counseling Collective
SESSION TITLE:
DISENFRANCHISED GRIEF
When Your Loss is Not Openly Acknowledged, Publicly Mourned or Socially Supported
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Libby will be helping us better understand our reproductive story, normalize what we are feeling, find ways to mourn and create rituals around our loss, and then move forward with hope for our future whether our parenting journey looks like we thought it would or not.
SARAH GARVEY
grief expert
SESSION TITLE:
WHEN WE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY:
Discovering Who God Is In the Midst of Suffering
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Sarah addressed the question she hears the most from parents who have lost a child, the same questions that she repeatedly asked: Why? Why did this happen?
Why would God allow this?
These questions are a natural response to an incomprehensible loss, and they are not at odds with faith. Part of grieving as a Christian is understanding who God is, who He continues to be in the midst of unimaginable suffering, and how we can wrestle well with Him. Join Sarah as she shares biblical truth about God, her personal experience with wrestling with Him in suffering, and the person in the bible I most closely connected with in my grief and suffering.
JOSEFINA SANDERS
author, artist & advocate
SESSION TITLE:
FINDING HOPE & HEALING IN THE MIDST OF GRIEF

SHARING OUR STORIES:
The Gateway to Our Healing
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Erica shares about her journey of healing and how sharing her story has been a gateway to her healing and creating living memories for the babies she has lost.
LINDSEY DENNIS
author: buried dreams from devastating loss to unimaginable hope
SESSION TITLE:
HOW DO I WALK WITH GOD IN A SEASON OF LOSS & PAIN?
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
Lindsey talks about how the loss of a child, the loss of a dream can often move our hearts away from God or towards Him. When the words of the Bible seem to fall flat or we don't know what to pray -- or have the energy to read or pray at all for that matter --how do we continue to stay near to the presence of God?
Hear from Lindsey Dennis as she shares her own story of learning to walk with God during and after the loss of her first two daughters. She'll share 6 ways that you can continue to draw near to God in seasons of loss and pain and experience a more vibrant relationship with Him, walking more fully in the hope that never disappoints when life's circumstances are full of disappointment.
STERLING MYERS
SESSION TITLE:
THIS IS NOT THE END
ABOUT THIS SESSION:
You probably felt like your world was over the day your baby died. I know I did. Thankfully, the death of your child is not the end of your joy, your motherhood, or your child.
