WHAT IS THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT?
The AadenSage Birthday Project was started October 8, 2013 as a tangible way to remind grieving parents that they are seen and remembered and cared for; that they and their baby is forever loved. This tangible reminder comes in the form of an art print gifted from me to you (or to your friend or family member.) The design changes each year, but the message stays the same: “We haven’t forgotten. And we love you.”
Since October of 2013 we have sent these tangible reminders to more families than we can count. And with every gift that is sent, my heart overflows at what an honor it is to bless others in the midst of their grief and to celebrate my son at the same time.
WHAT IS THE MEANING BEHIND THIS YEAR’S DESIGN?
This year’s art features the Forget-Me-Not flower which symbolizes remembrance, a promise that you will always remember them and will keep them in your thoughts; and a connection that lasts forever.
WHY OCTOBER?
We chose October in honor of my son’s birthday (Aaden Sage Proffitt, 10.08.08 – 11.15.08).
We also love that October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month — a perfect time to gift a special reminder such as this.
HOW DOES THE BIRTHDAY PROJECT WORK?
Every year during the month of October, we send a special art print along with a personal note from me to parents who are grieving; reminding them that their little one is never forgotten and is forever loved.
To send a Birthday Project Print simply:
Add the print to your cart.
Add a personal gift message if applicable.
Checkout.
During the month of October* we cover the cost of the print as a gift to you in honor of my son’s birthday. We only ask that you pay the shipping fee of the print to help fund the cost of this project. If you would like to donate more to this project feel free to choose an amount from the dropdown menu.
Please remember to add the shipping address of the recipient if the address is different than your own.
*You can still send an art print after the month of October. However November through September, the prints will be sold at normal retail value to help sustain the cost of running The Morning.
Submissions will be processed on a weekly basis so please allow 3-5 days for shipping notifications.
CAN I SEND MORE THAN ONE PRINT?
Absolutely! But please limit to 2 per customer.
Also, keep in mind that you can only designate one shipping address per order. If the prints will be going to different addresses you must place separate orders.
WHAT IS THE LAST DAY TO SEND A BIRTHDAY PROJECT PRINT?
The AadenSage Birthday Project is for the entire month of October, ending October 31. After October 31st, the print will be available but at it’s full price of $10.00.
