ADVENT DAY ELEVEN

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

he meets your need

I imagine your soul feels empty, depleted, like you have nothing to give. I imagine you feel needy. In need of healing. In need of comfort. In need of God to move deep within your heart to see Him as good again. This verse is precious as it says "God will supply every need" - He will make you full, fill you up; He will fill you to the full. He can cause you to abound. The greek phrase here literally means "to cram" - He will fill you so full nothing else can fit.

And He will fill you to the full, make you empty hearts abound, according to His riches; which are in abundance, never ending, never running out. This is a limitless supply.

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:13-14

the promise

In His goodness and limitless generosity God meets all of our needs. He fills us to the full, to abundance.

prayer

Father, I feel empty and tired and weary. I feel needy and desperate. Desperate for healing and for comfort. Father would you fill me to the fullest. Fill me with Your love, Your power, Your strength, Your joy. Father would You help me to trust You; help me to know and believe that in You I have everything I could ever need.
