Our Recommended Children’s Books on Grief, Loss, & Faith
One of the most frequently asked questions we receive from grieving moms is if there are any books that are helpful for their children to process grief. We recently asked The Joyful Mourning Community, our free community for grieving moms, what they recommend. Here are their suggestions.
Note from The Morning Team: Sharing these books does not mean that we endorse everything produced by every author or that every book will be the right fit for every grieving family or child. Please consider researching or previewing a book before you share it with your children to be sure that it’ll be the right fit for you.

When Your Family’s Lost a Loved One: Finding Hope Together by Nancy Guthrie
When your family's lost a loved one, the reminders are everywhere. An empty chair, a silent crib, an unused pillow. You long to return to "normal," but wonder how your family can live without the loved one you cherish. The journey may not be short or smooth, but David and Nancy Guthrie have traveled it - more than once. With empathy and honesty, they'll guide you through the challenges of keeping your family together and strong. This book is fully endorsed by The Morning Team.
